Redd’s Apple Ale Stew

Baby it’s cold outside so warm up with a delicious twist on stew. This recipe was sent to us by one of our loyal consumers. Redd’s Apple Ale Stew is a one pot comfort meal full of winter-lious flavors and aromas to warm up your nose. Let us know how you like it!


Redd’s Apple Ale Stew


2 lbs beef or pork stew meat gently coated in flour, salt and pepper

2 cups diced celery

3 large carrots diced

4 large red potatoes cut into chunks

1 1/2  onion sliced

1/2 fresh tomato diced

10 sliced baby Bella mushrooms

1  cup coffee

3/4 bottle Redd’s Apple Ale

3 cloves garlic minced

1 shot whiskey (we used Jack Daniel’s)

Olive oil

Salt pepper

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Brown meat in olive oil and garlic add veggies, and let soften. Add liquids and slow cook over low heat in covered pot for a few hours until meat is tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
