‘Hoppy’ Halloween!

Goblins, witches and vampires, oh my! With just a couple weeks left until Halloween, it’s time to prepare for some festive celebrations. Cherokee Distributing Company has a few favorite brews to serve this time of year whether you’re throwing a spooky, haunted fright fest or an Autumn seasonal party.

Check out the label on the Rogue Dead Guy Ale from Rogue brewery in Ashland, Oregon. The logo, a skeleton in a beehive, was originally designed as an homage to the Mayan Day of the Dead. It will complement your zombie, monster and ghost décor and is sure to give your guests the “heebie jeebies” – but the taste is sure to please! Its light honey color and hearty flavor will pair well with any hot and spicy foods you may want to serve, such as seasoned pork, a perfect fall entrée.

If you’re hosting a fall-festive Halloween bash, we recommend serving Woodchuck Amber Draft Cider, the original and most popular hard cider from Vermont Brewing Company. Your guests will enjoy this sweet, amber-colored cider with a nice, crisp finish. Who doesn’t love drinking apple cider during the holiday season? And, it’s gluten-free and goes great with pumpkin bread.

If you’re looking for a crisp apple cider that’s delicious served alone or used to mix the perfect Halloween cocktail, try Angry Orchard Crisp Apple. You can create a tasty treat such as the “Adam’s Apple,” which fills a pint glass with half Samuel Adams Boston Lager and half Crisp Apple. Its deep amber color will look great with Autumn-themed decorations.

For a sweeter cocktail alternative, try the “Angry Apple Pie.” Fill a pint glass with ice and mix 1 oz. Amaretto and 1 oz. orange juice, fill the rest of the glass with Crisp Apple and add a splash of Cinnamon Schnapps. This fun, seasonal cocktail is sure to be Halloween hit – especially if you rim the glass with cinnamon sugar first.

Whatever brew you serve, we hope you enjoy a very “hoppy” Halloween and a festive fall season with family and friends. Just remember to drink responsibly and have a ghoulish good time!
